Persistent Cholestasis After Critical Illness
Abstract
Sclerosing cholangitis in critically ill patients (SC-CIP) is a new form of secondary sclerosing cholangitis associated with rapid progression to liver cirrhosis. We report a case of 60-year-old female with chronic cholestasis after receiving treatment in intensive care. Our purpose was to increase awareness and timely recognize the diagnosis of SC-CIP.
